"Fortune Fella" is a whimsical exploration of memory,
symbolism, and the intersection of childhood nostalgia
with adult artistic interpretation. Conceived from
the simple yet playful memory of a folded paper
“Chatterbox” or “Fortune Teller,” this piece imagines
the object adorned with intricate drawings and
mystic imagery.
Inspired by Tarot, mysticism, and the visionary work of
William Blake, the artwork weaves together personal history
with a sense of wonder and unfettered imagination.
The figure of “Fortune Fella” is a playful, enigmatic
guide, inviting curiosity and open-ended exploration
through its Tarot-inspired design.
As a work in progress, it hints at the possibility of a larger,
evolving narrative—one that might expand into detailed text-based
illustrations and a more expansive acrylic painting on canvas.
